Polyester 16-strand braided rope is made from 100% high tenacity polyester and characterized by their resistance to climate conditions as well as excellent UV resistance. This cords has high abrasion resistance, and very high breaking load. In comparison with polyamide cords, polyester cords are softer and more flexible in wet condition. It is therefore a popular general -purpose rope in the boating industry, such as mooring lines, anchor lines etc. Polyester is one kind of synthetic material and has an excellent resistance to UV and abrasion, polyester is unaffected by water. This combination of properties means that polyester is the material used in protective cover braids as well as in pure polyester ropes. Polyester has a density of 1.38, melting point of 260 deg C and an extension to break of about 12%.
